Very Very Unhappy Customer...Beware!

I ordered a King Sofa Bed, and when it arrived, two men said they couldn't fit it through the doorway of the second bedroom, so it was put in the open-sided den. James offered to take the sofa bed back that day, but we needed it for company coming two weeks later. He reminded us that he didn't charge us tax or a home delivery which I assume he does for everyone, not just us. He assured me that no sofa bed that leave their warehouse has damage. WRONG!
When my husband called he was told they would send someone who would actually take the sofa apart, and then put it back together in the second bedroom, and that it would cost an additional $270.00.
A short and skinny young man showed up, (his partner was sick). He immediately took the mounds of bubble wrap off the sofa. Once that was removed, we noticed that the fabric was worn on three different spots, and he noted it on his receipt. We live in a condo type apartment, and called downstairs asking for some additional help, and three men, including my husband easily got it into the bedroom where it currently lives.
Why couldn’t the men from SOFA BED take the bubble wrap off and try again? Why did it cost us additional money, PLUS a big tip?
We’ve written a few emails regarding the frayed fabric and included photos of the areas in question. We asked to at least have the $270.00 refunded, but James said he wouldn't do that and completely ignored the fact that the fabric was frayed. It was their fault that we had to spend the extra money, and ignoring the damaged sofa is unacceptable. He offered us $100 to shut us up, but we also haven't received it. James' final comment was, "What I yearn for is not only to leave you happy with this sale, but earn your business in future." This will not happen, ever again.
Obviously I am very unhappy, hence the one star.

Beautiful sofa ed

The sofa bed color, style and comfort is great.

Great little unit

The guys handled my order swiftly and got it in place perfectly. The Belton itself is a little on the firmer side so I corrected that with a mattress topper that I keep in a hutch nearby. It stays in couch mode 90% of the time and functions perfectly for what we needed. Kids don't even need a topper they think it sleeps great.
Definitely the right call on what we needed for the arcade.
