My wife and I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect sofa bed. With ikea’s “best” queen model starting at around $1,500 we knew that was most likely the minimum we could spend, but it was a pressboard POS, which was uncomfortable as a couch, and the bed was mediocre at best, but it did check enough of our boxes that we did have to consider it. We were looking for a sofa that didn’t fold out onto the floor (not going to work for aging parents with bad knees), and the mattress length was “true queen length” (which we needed for regular visitors in the 6’3” range). We looked at models up to $1,000 more expensive, which was the top end of our budget and never bothered looking at the next tier which was about $3,000+ starting price. We were so happy we found Luonto at a local retailer but they only carried a much more expensive model and although we mulled just blowing our budget up and getting it we couldn’t justify the almost $4,000 expense.
We started looking online at other luonto retailers and discovered sofabed which stocked so many models in so many different sizes in quick ship colors.
Couldn’t believe we found the ultimate bed in our $2,500 price range in a king size which guests are loving (both couples as a king and so singles opening only 1 side as a twinXL and still having a couch. Unbeknownst to us the model we got had the now free Lux upgrade, so the sofa has full upholstery and an extra leg allowing it to also be used as a giant chaise for extremely lazy family tv watching. So dope!
